The downpipe isn't nearly the restriction it is on many other cars (ex EvoX), but it does make a difference and will be quite noticeable with a bigger turbo. A tweet from a Ford parts employee also confirmed that the EJ7E-6051-HA engineering number that was spotted on a bad gasket pulled out of a Focus RS is actually assigned to the Explorer and MKC
The Mustang 2.3, and RS 2.3, are MZR L Series engines. There's not much mystery here or even really reasons to debate it. Ford owns the right to build and develop the L series MZR and still does. Different pistons, rods, turbos, head castings, etc don't change the fact that it's a MZR L series engine.

Maybe the engine design and variable valve timing system puts to much stress on a belt system. Dunno, not an engineer.

I believe if you have the ford maintenance package, they won't change the oil unless 7.5k miles have passed and something like 10k is expected. But the engine holds 6qts of oil, so it kinda makes sense. nGQ2H5.
