Thats correct, I recently changed the oil on mine, I put 6.5 litres of oil in (based on the Mondeo handbook), this takes it 'Way Over' the max level on the dipstick. 6 litres of 5w30 grade oil is sufficient. The oil filter is the replacement paper cartridge type, it is situated on the bottom of the engine, behind the radiator.

Hi everyone. I'm new here so if I don't format this right please be patient. I have a Mk III 2.0 TDCi with 109000 on the clock. Bit slower than normal to start for the last couple of weeks and today while I was doing 30mph the engine died.
As the turbo was consuming the engine's oil. Anyways after getting towed and taking it into the garage, I had them fitting a used turbo i bought from mondeo spares on eBay. Although the purchased turbo was in good comdition, it had no play at the shafts and has 3 month warranty. I also bought a new oil feed pipe for the turbo too.
